From there, Erin discovered that many residents living in Hinkley had cancer, due to the water being contaminated with hexavalent chromium. Erin and Ed also discovered that most of the doctors who came to treat the residents had been bribed by PG&E.
Erin and Ed convinced 634 people to testify against PG&E. Through multiple lawsuits, the company paid $333 million to the victims. Ed rewarded Erin with $2 million. The jaw-dropping sight of Julia Roberts' check at the end of the film is sure to please.
6. Slumdog Millionaire – Slumdog Millionaire (2008)
Jamal Malik (Dev Patel) comes from a slum in Mumbai (India). In order to find his best friend Latika, he decided to participate in the show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? so that she could see him on TV.
Jamal answered almost all the questions correctly, making the host Prem Kumar doubt whether he was a genius or a cheater. During the break, Prem even intentionally gave Jamal the wrong answer, but he only trusted his own knowledge.

The two students would print the answers on pencils for another group of rich friends to take to the STIC exam room in Thailand.
