Instructions for creating a family group and adding and removing members from Google Families

If you have a large Google Drive plan or a YouTube Premium account and want to share it with more people, take advantage of the Google Families feature . With this feature, you can easily create a family group of up to 6 people, using services like Google Drive , YouTube Premium , and other Google services together. This not only helps share benefits but also optimizes costs and makes management easy from a common account.

What is Google Families?

Google Families is a service that allows multiple users to connect their Google accounts to share and use premium features and services provided by Google. Some of the outstanding benefits include:

To use the above sharing services, you need a " Family Group ".
You can create your own family group and invite others to join to share the services you have subscribed to, or join a family group created by someone else.
If you want to join someone else's family group, you need to receive an invitation from the group administrator to be able to access the shared services.

Instructions for creating and managing Google Families family groups

1. Create a family group

Step 1 : Access the address https://myaccount.google.com/family/create using a computer or phone.
Step 2: Log in to the Google account you need to create a "Family Group"
Step 3: Click " Start" => " Create a family group " => " Confirm "

2. Invite a member to the group

You can add up to 5 members to your family group.
Step 1: Go to https://myaccount.google.com/family/details with the Google account that manages the family group you created.
Step 2: In the main interface, click the "Send invitation" button
. Step 3: Enter the email address of the person you want to invite and click the "Send"
button . Immediately after that, an invitation to your family group will be sent to that person via email. They just need to follow the instructions in the email to accept participation.
Each Google account can only participate in a maximum of 1 family group. If you want to join another group, you must leave the current group.

3. Delete a member

Step 1: Go to https://myaccount.google.com/family/details with the Google account that manages the family group you created.
Step 2: In the member list, click on the member you want to delete => " Delete member "
After deleting, the other person will receive an email notification that they have been removed from your family group.

4. Delete family group

Step 1: Access the address https://myaccount.google.com/family/details with the Google account that manages the family group you created.
Step 2: In the main interface, scroll down to the bottom and click => " Delete family group "
Step 3:  Enter the password to confirm that you are the one performing this action => scroll down to confirm " Delete" and you're done.

NOTE:

After deleting a family group, all members will also be stopped from using the shared services and features that the family group previously had.
All members will receive a notification of the deleted family group via email.
