1. How to combine 2 photos in Photoshop into one photo

You want a photo that contains many different images? So we will need to combine 2 images in Photoshop. This is one of the basic techniques in Photoshop that you need to know. 

The specific steps are as follows:

- Step 1: First we need to create a new working file. On the menu bar go to File => New… or press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+N. Then fill in the size parameters to suit your needs.

Step 2: Now we need to upload 2 photos that need to be merged in Photoshop. On the menu bar, select File => Open => Select 2 photos to combine => Open. Or you can press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+O then select 2 photos and press Open.

Step 3: On the newly created file, use the Move Tool (V) to drag the 2 image files to be merged into the new file.

Step 4: To adjust the size of the image, at each image layer, press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + T to adjust the size of each image to the best fit.

Step 1: First you need to create a working file to combine 2 images in Photoshop.

Step 2: Add 2 images you want to stitch together. On the menu bar, select File => Open => Go to the folder containing the 2 photos you want to combine => select photo => Click Open. 

For example, I want to combine a photo of a dog with a photo of the moon and night sky.

Step 3: Now we will need to separate the dog to put it on a photo of the night sky. In the dog image file, use the Quick Selection Tool (W) to create a selection of the dog. Make the selection as detailed as possible.

Step 4: On the menu bar, select Select => Select and Mask (with Photoshop CC 2017 onwards and Refine Edge with previous Photoshop versions). The Refine Edge dialog box appears allowing you to customize the selection and then convert it into a mask.

Step 5: Adjust the selection by changing the parameters in the dialog box and watch the image change. Refine Edge is used to correct hair or soft edges. Under Edge Detection, check the Smart Radius box, so that Photoshop distinguishes between hard and soft edges.

You can also increase the Radius value a bit. Place the Refine Edge brush at the outer edge of the dog's fur and begin brushing. Dog fur will gradually be added to the selection. Hold down Alt and then paint to undo the changes if you are not satisfied.

At Output, check Decontaminate Colors to help remove remaining background colors in the selection. In Output, select New Layer with Layer Mask and then click OK.

Step 6: Use the Move Tool to drag the night sky background image to the first working file you created. Then drag the dog's background separation above the sky background. Adjust the size of the background and the dog so that they are balanced.

Step 7: You can use two layer blends in many different styles to create unique effects. Go to Blending Mode, select the appropriate blending types. Here, I choose Screen mode.

3. How to combine 2 photos in Photoshop online

In addition to combining 2 photos in Photoshop, you can also combine 2 photos in Photoshop Online. Let's refer to the basic steps below.

Step 1: Access Photoshop Online. Select Open File from computer, then open the 2 photos you want to merge. For example, I want to combine a photo of a small butterfly landing on the girl's finger.
